What you’ll do :

As the Senior Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives through the following:

  • Contribute toworkstreamsby programmingpsychometrics/clinimetrics/statistics to generateevidenceof patients’ experiencewithtreatmentthroughout the drugdevelopmentlifecycle. (e.g. psychometricperformanceof the instrument, sensitivity/specificityof signal detection, constructionofnovelendpoints).

  • Contribute, conductand interpretpsychometrics/clinimetrics or statisticalanalyses for the validationofnovelendpointsleveraging data from clinicaloutcomesassessments (COA) including data from sensors/wearables in clinicaltrialsincluding: developanalysesstrategy, manipulate and validate data files, test selection, and analyses

  • Establilshproductlevelclinicaldata management practices and structureincluding data flow and standardization

  • With supervision, prepare, review, and publish data and ensurethatclinicalvalidationfindingsarecommunicatedeffectively, and asappropriate inscientificreports, internal/ conference presentations, publications, regulatory dossiers reflectingongoing or completedwork

  • Plan and conduct meetings withcontent experts for evidence generation

Essential for the role

  • A Bachelors degree in a related field, plus four years practical experience is required.  

  • An advanced degree in a science related field and/or other appropriate knowledge/experience is preferred.Combination of academic training and practical experience in outcomes research:

  • Preferred: Doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Sc. D. or Dr.P.H.) in a relevant field such as, but not limited to, biostatistics, statistics, health outcomes research, epidemiology, public health, or data science

  • OR: Clinical degree (e.g., in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or equivalent) and a masters degree in a related field (as noted above), plus one year practical experience

  • OR: Masters degree in a related field (as noted above), plus one year practical experience

  • Programming and visualizationusing R, SAS, Python, or similar, in any setting, including life sciences company, research organization, academic institution or governmental agency, including experience in interpreting and communicating evidence from clinical research.

  • Working knowledge of drug development

  • Project management skills

  • Conceptual, analytical and critical thinking

  • Ability to challenge the status quo, takeownership and holdsself and othersaccountable

  • Highly efficient: able to navigateambiguity and address problems in a fast-pacedenvironment; able to adapt to new waysofworking

  • Superb communicationskills

  • Creative, innovative,solution-focused

  • Strong communication skills, theability to build relationships

  • Experiencewith data from multiplesources, includingwearables and sensors

  • Understandingofnovel digital developmentframeworkwithexperience

  • Understandingof the regulatory landscape governing research with human subjects
